The A-Team came through for me in getting my Loan Modification!! Amazing group!!
Approximately 4-1/2 years ago, I went through some financial changes in my life. I tried to notify the lenders (initially Countrywide which transferred to Bank of America, and then to NationStar Mortgage)of my situation; however, found that to be unsuccessful.
I found that they would constantly lose my paperwork, state that they never received it, give me a fax number only to tell me that I had to re-submit it to another fax number. The departments would not know what the other departments were doing. They had computer
systems with different programs (ie: equate system) and unless you had the name of it, they could not find the last conversations that we last had;therefore, the would repeatedly ask the same questions over and over again. Some would tell me that I made too
much, others would tell me not enough.I was denied approx.3 times. Feeling frustrated and unheard, I had stopped calling and responding to the lenders 2 years ago. Although I strongly wanted to stay in my home, I knew that it was greatly upside down and knew
that I would possibly face foreclosure.I researched and called a couple companies that stated they were experts in loan modification; however, they always wanted large amounts of money up front. I found them to be very suspect. After 4-1/2 years,I received
a knock on my door from a real estate agent stating that my home was in pre-foreclosure status. Although I knew that the time would eventually come, I wasn't quite expecting a surprise like that, because I had never received any Notice of Default from the
banks, nor any type of foreclosure paperwork. One week later, I received a Notice of Default. I was convinced that there wasn't anything that I could do and was prepared to just to foreclose my home. On 4/15/14,(approx. 3 weeks after receiving the NOD),I received
a card from Financial Relief Law Center in the mail.I was very skeptical to even contact anyone else about my situation. In fact, it was my mother who strongly encouraged me to give it one final attempt. I am so glad that I did!! The first person that I spoke
with, was Victor Ugarte. He instantly made me feel comfortable and at ease with the process and answered all of my questions. He really is a fantastic person and good at what he does. I signed with the firm on 4/22/14. I was a bit overwhelmed initially because
of the list of documents required, however, going one by one down the list, my anxiety dissipated. My next point of contact was Angelika who was able to submit my package to the next step. I was assigned to Ronda Miner, who is an exceptional person. She answered
a lot of my questions and concerns. She has awesome people skills and is very professional at what she does.I love my team (Victor, Angelika and Ronda!!! By the end of June, I got accepted for a loan modification trial under the Making Home Affordable Program!!!
I was impressed at the short amount of time it took to get a response!! Although I am still on a trial period ( just made my first payment yesterday), I am super excited about it!! They were able to reduce my payments from approx. $3400/mo to $2158/mo (2%
interest) and include the taxes and insurance in my payments.I'm so happy that I am able to keep my home. Its like a weight and fear of the unknown was finally lifted. I have already started referring several people to Victor and the "A-team" Thank you Financial
Relief Law Center for your assistance!!!! Sincerely, Lydia G.
