I contracted AL Roofing to put on a new roof, insulate the roof, install new skylights, and install new fascia boards. There were many no shows and delays on when they said they would be here with no phone calls when they didn't show. Alex is a nice person but not a good business person. Tar came in the ceiling onto the files and onto the carpet, fascia boards poorly cut and installed, skylights not properly installed, fireplace flashing looks bad, and the answer was always "no problem we can fix it". The bad work just kept getting worse instead of better. I finally said stop and I will get someone else to fix this mess. I did have to hire someone else to finish the skylights and re-do the fascia boards. Alex did say that he would fix the boards and did start with "bondo" but I could see where that was going and asked him to stop. I did pay him what was owed but then stop payment on the check and called him and gave him a new check for $1,000 less which won't even cover the fascia board work. I told him that I found some one to do that work and he asked how much and told me that was way too much and I should get another contractor's bid for a lower price. I can only hope that he is a good roofer and probably shouldn't offer the service of the fascia boards or the skylights if he doesn't have men that are trained to do that.
