HDMG is not the place to go. The doctors leave there in a frequencies that is a bit disturbing. I had Dr. Gaw who was wonderful but she left for Kaiser. I tried Dr Chein but he is arrogant and and right out of school. He doesn't listen to the patient but relies on what he learned in his text book. UCLA/USC/Cedars all treat the patient not just the lab work. We are not all cookie cutter and everyone is different. I went to Dr Wynn after I left Dr Chein but Dr Wynn left 2 weeks after I tansfered to her. I than went back to Dr Chein to give him another chance but I now regret that!! It took 2 weeks just to get an approval to have an MRI on my hand. I stated this to Dr Chein when I went back for results and it took 30mins to get an approval to see an Ortho Doctor. So a fast/Stat approval can be done it needed. I am off work so this isn't a lets just take our time and its no big deal kind of issue. I took 1 MONTH from my appt with Dr. Chien to have the results in hand for the MRI to show the damage to my hand. Dr Chein also was going to refer me to have surgery on my liver for a birth mark that I do not need. Liver surgery is very dangerous and doing it willy nilly I was just shocked that he didn't even review my chart from Dr Gaw to see I have had this spot on my liver for YEARS. The nurse called me to say I have been referred to a surgeon for liver surgery. I had to tell her to check my chart from a ultra sound I had done that showed the liver. High Desert Medical Group is not good if you have any issues that need testing and to be watched. They do not like to spend money on procedures that other medical groups I have belonged to found to be normal to do to provide good medical care. I am changing to another group ASAP as I am so over HDMG. Do yourself and your family a favor and stay away at all cost. The BAD reviews are the norm here and anyone with higher than a 2 star must not get more than a normal check-up once a year. If that is all you need maybe this is your type of group.
