Roughly two years ago I signed a contract with National Financial Rescue Group to modify the terms of my mortgage. I paid them $3000 upfront. They told me it would take approximately three months to get the modification and that I would be entitled to a refund of $2500 if they could not get it done. Now, almost two years later, they were never able to have my mortgage modified and they are refusing to answer my request for a refund. I am now forced to put my home for sale.
Throughout the last two years the company has operated under numerous company names such as the National Financial Rescue Group, The Law Office of Diego Hellewell and now Forensic Loan Auditors. They are very hard to get a hold of and are bad at returning phone calls and emails. There is a very quick turn around of employees there as well. Between that and the frequent changing of the company name, they are obviously very shady.
After removing their authorization to deal with my bank on my behalf, they have twice tried to authorize their company name on my mortgage account under different names despite having told both my mortgage company and their company I am requesting a full refund.
