Arrived at Sister's of Mercy Urgent Care on Patton Ave at 8am (opening time). I waited 45 minutes to be seen by a physician. I had a severe sore throat and wanted to check and make sure that it wasn't strep. The appointment took approximately 10 minutes.
I have BCBS of NC insurance and the bill was $311 for the visit and $57 for the laboratory fee. I've never paid $311 for a standard doctor's visit. Very disappointed that I wasn't forewarned that a visit for a sore throat would cost almost $400.
