Received a call from "Mediation Services" last night claiming that I was pre-approved for a loan modification for my current mortgage and to call them back to submit an application. I contacted my mortgage company this afternoon to see if this was indeed true. My current mortgage company has not heard of this company and they did not give out any personal information. I was also told that since I had already submitted an application with all the appropriate paperwork, I should not be requested to do so all over again. My phone number is UNLISTED!! DO NOT return their calls as this is a scam!
