When I compared the bids, the bid was $7100 for the roof replacement, and for the dry rot fixing, $65/hr extra for labor and material at cost. I was demanding for the cap of the extra, but only promised it will be reasonable. In the end, when the job was done, over $3600 was charged on top of the initial bid, it's a big surprise to me, and I felt that I should have been informed prior and during the project, so that I can at least do some additional quotes comparison, otherwise, I felt I was taken advantage on, and I don't feel good with it.
When I complained w/ BBB, they even refused to honor the original 5% discount for CASH payment. Worst of all, they lied in their final response to BBB, saying that I am happy to pay them after they explained to me. Unfortunately, the way it works in the complaint process for BBB, customer has no more chance to provide further rebuttal over the company's final response.
Initially, Wolfy claimed he only made at most $500 out of my contract (he charged me $11000 for a 30 yr composite shingle roof of a single story 1100 sq ft house), later, he further changed his story and claimed he lost $900 out of this job...
Very hard to believe, and very hard to deal with, although he claims in his web site to do whatever needed to make his customer happy...
Can't believe this company was rated in Diamond Certified, I certainly gave that a lot of consideration, and certainly learned a lesson out of it.
